What It Means to Be a Co-Laborer with Christ Introduction

One of the most profound truths in Scripture is this: God invites us to work with Him. Not for Him. Not under Him as mere servants. But alongside Him as co-laborers in His Kingdom.

One of the most profound truths in Scripture is this: God invites us to work with Him. Not for Him as mere employees. Not under Him as fearful servants. But alongside Him as co-laborers in His Kingdom. This truth transformed the way I view my life, my marriage, my business, and my calling. And I believe it will transform yours too

The Biblical Foundation

In 1 Corinthians 3:9, Paul writes:
“For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.”

We are not passive recipients of God’s grace. We are active participants in His mission. He doesn’t need us, but He chooses us. He partners with us. He entrusts us with His purposes on earth.

This is not a burden, it’s an invitation. An invitation to step into the divine work of redemption, restoration, and Kingdom-building right where we are. The new common language will be more simple and regular than the existing European languages. It will be as simple as Occidental; in fact, it will be Occidental.

What Co-Laboring Looks Like in My Life

1. Obedience in the Ordinary
Co-laboring doesn’t always look like preaching to thousands or planting churches. Sometimes it looks like:

  • Running a manufacturing business with integrity in Athi River
  • Raising children in the fear of the Lord
  • Praying for my husband as we build Blu Osprey together
  • Treating employees with dignity and fairness
  • Creating quality products that serve Kenyan farmers

Every act of obedience  no matter how “ordinary”  is Kingdom work.

2. Submission to His Leading
Being a co-laborer means I don’t set the agenda. God does. My role is to listen, obey, and trust. His role is to lead, provide, and accomplish what only He can do.When I left the IFC, I didn’t have a detailed business plan. I had obedience. And God filled in the gaps as I walked step by step.

3. Partnering in Prayer
Prayer is one of the most powerful ways I co-labor with God. When I pray over our business, our employees, and our customers, I invite Heaven into the factory. I align my heart with His will. I participate in the supernatural work only He can do.

4. Working Alongside My Husband
Co-laboring with Christ also means co-laboring with my spouse. My husband and I are partners in this business — not because we always agree, but because we’ve submitted our marriage and our work to God’s authority. Together, we’re building something that honors Him.

The Beauty of Divine Partnership

What I love most about being a co-laborer with Christ is this: I don’t have to carry the weight alone. He is with me. He is in me. He is working through me.

When I feel inadequate, He reminds me:
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)

When I feel overwhelmed, He whispers:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)

I am not alone. And neither are you.
